Interesting dream last night. I dreamt about a fictional world where all women are used for torture. Just letting anything happen to them that men wanted, as some twisted way to let out "desires" and then go back to "normal society". This was something I posted to AO3. There was an Original varient and a Fire Emblem non canon version. One thing that stood out in my dream was a scene about Nils trying to make Ninian's torture and death as painless as possible but struggling to do so under watchful eyes. they are siblings for context.
i was accepted into the lolisho lovers zine! and I get to draw fire emblem fanwork for it. I won't be able to post it until next year but I am excited. i have always wanted to be a part of one of these zines!
deltarune weird route and noelle theme theorizingI'm on board with the theory/idea that Deltarune has parallel themes to Earthbound Halloween Hack. Specifically the "one ending" idea; that no matter what you do, the outcome remains the same. In Halloween Hack this happens with Dr. Andonuts death which happens whether or not you press B. I think in Deltarune this theme is present with Noelle's character development. Her main issue is that she feels like her life has become stagnant, and in some ways not entirely her own. I think in both the normal and weird routes she slowly grows into her own, but in different ways. Susie's presence in her life gives her new perspectives and experiences. She grows more confident in herself too, like being able to sort of stand up to Queen and her Mom. She gains more agency. I think this also happens in the Weird route. Gaining more agency, but in the form of power over others (the darkners she froze, Berdly, Kris). This route also has her directly describe how she feels her life and her mannerisms have become stagnant, and how she now feels like what happened has changed her and it's something she's wanted deep down. It's a very twisted way of making her come out of her shell.
The truth is I found out about targeted bullying in the FE hacking community and it's making me very bitter. Nobody is ever going to do anything about it because it's not a good or kind community. And I hate that ppl can get away with it just because they made a good hack. This is an example of what I mean when I say independents shouldn't be exempt from criticism because this to me is worse and more directly harmful than whatever a corporation can do. This sort of thing fucks with your mind. When people you're supposedly supposed to be friends with go behind your back.
If i ever make an fe fangame i may have to put in incest on it just to spite the community and they can't complain because fire emblem literally has incest in it. Not just subtext either

Thinking about this one episode of how i met your mother where this girl ted dates is like really accomplished and once he finds this out he gets all clammy and jealous. And apparently all the men she dates act like this. And it came off so pathetic to me. Like are all these men that insecure about a women with accolades? I feel like nobody would actually act like that unless there very deep in incel behavior. Atp i feel bad for that women like just date other women they wouldn't be portrayed this way
I had a dream about this DS game that was like Digimon. It was called Monster Gift, and basically you raised monsters in and adoption center so they would eventually be given to a kind owner. The monsters were fully sapient and spoke to you and each other. It was a 3D game so it had that good old DS resolution and sound. It was like Digimon in that you raised the monsters Tamagotchi style and then could have them fight sometimes. The designs were all very pastel, soft and colorful, nature inspired. Some standouts were a rabbit with four ears, two of which served as extra hands. A bunch of slimes with gyroid faces that evolved into globs and then incarnate forms that changed into stable forms. There was magma, grass, water, ghost, stone, and a couple more. There was a giant green and pink clamshell, I think. The UI was also a soft wooden palette. It looked like everything was on an wood bulletin board, and had bubbly text on it.
