i was expecting iceshrimp.net to be done earlier this year, since... that's what the devs said

but now we're late into this year and it's still not done, so. at least there's an actual sign-up page lol

and i'm sure there's plenty of people who sign up to masto soc... instead of like, aethy, or baraag, that aren't intending to be bad

but more often than not i look at their profiles and i see immediate red flags, or just straight up people boosting posts from instances i'm surprised they haven't nuked off the face of the earth yet (i.e. posts that say "it's fine to molest children irl")

but man. can you just... sign up to aethy or something y'all? i know mastodon is the face of fediverse, it's where i first signed up too back in 2017, but please recognize that it's not the only instance. especially for LSC, like, isn't that strictly not allowed on there in the first place?

ngl i'm starting to get weirded out by the people signing up to mastodon social just to fav my posts

every time i see that i feel like they have ulterior motives, and it's making me feel kindaaaa unsafe :/

i don't want to defed masto soc though, unless there's unanimous support to do so though

...really i just hate open-registration instances i think :/
