This kinsey scale is like weird to me for two main reasons. It doesn't take into account any non binary genders, so like would an agender person even fit on this? Or like what if you like women and enbys but not men? Also is this referring only to how attractive people find each other? Cause I feel like there are a lot more aspects to that besides gender identity and/or birth sex. Like there are several people who only find young people attractive, or old people.
The second reason is that the idea of sexuality being fluid is really unclear. What does it mean? I have heard of people identifying as gay for a portion of their life, and then changing that to straight. Does that actually mean they "changed" over time or were they just wrong the first time? That's such an individual thing. I don't think it's something you just decide or force though. I think this maybe needs more research but that probably won't happen anytime soon.
I would be X on the kinsey scale because I'm on the aroace spectrum. I only find fictional characters attractive. But also that probably has a scale too, as I tend to lean more towards fictional males. It's way too limiting I feel.
