Not wanting to call it quits though I practiced a new sketching technique a kind artist taught me after seeing me when I was streaming.
It looks like my proportion skills plus this technique went quite well, it feels much more "right" than my past attempts.
I really hope I can retain these techniques beyond just blatantly copying the reference pose that said artist showed me on their technique sheet.
