gore? isn't this familiar is a story about how coming of age isn't all that its promised to be. the leads feel a juxtaposition with how the world was supposed to be for them vs how it actually is.
Cancri, Bonnet, and Scrawl are about to graduate from the pinnacle of ivy league magecraft schools; Celestial Bridge Academy, where the student's aging is magically slowed down so they have more time to benefit from the Neuroplasticity of young brains and the rapid growth of aether that young bodies are capable of.
With minds in their mid 20s to early 30's & bodies barely hitting puberty, Cancri and their friends feel like they're supposed to be prepared for the world but their graduation will test not only their survival but their bonds with each other as well. will their familiars be their salvation or their undoing?
