Went down another autistic mini-fixation archive binge of animal biology, just love learning in general about all kinds of shit. Saw a random video post about a trapdoor spider, but was fascinated by it not looking like any trapdoor species I recall (none by name ofc). Then a comment on post made it click, it was actually a wolf spider that uses lids on their burrows for protection, not ambush predation!
This lead to a chain of link browsing between arachnids and wasps/ants, venom mechanism, predators, into anoles specifically....aaand to the point: I saw the section on anole dewlaps had a video footage of a VERY pronounced dewlap display....

Feeling inspired to build a setting by using an unsanctioned radio news programme between track lists, that claims to be the local school's very own pirate radio show, as a narrator. Weird going-ons as told by bathroom tween cub gossip, eye-witness accounts from the nearby haunted woods after dark, the weekly skate park report. Very Jet Set Radio aesthetic.

I am generally also of the "you can make your own, if you feel there's not enough, then get your freak on and make the fiction you wanna see". Though, I'm also painfully aware of barrier to entry depending on what kind of media we're talking about here (writing being technically the most accessible in today's world, animation or gamedev the least, non-animated drawing in the middle perhaps).
