@Norithics thanks for all of this, i whole-heartedly agree with everything said here! i know the internet before i was an adult used to be open to this kinda stuff, and i was really, really pondering when the hell this sudden shift occurred. and it's right there, it's because furaffinity took 20 fuckin years to implement tag blocking.
as someone who is a CSA survivor myself, i was first on the side of "this stuff is bad!!!"... but then i realized what kind of traps i was falling for, and came to eventually realize that this art actually healed me more than anything. so, yeah, been on both sides, now i know what's true, but i do completely understand people who still want absolutely nothing to do with any of this.
i'm super glad you're a trans ally, you draw some cool art (that i might not be into, but hey, we all got our stuff~) and i'm glad you're around to put your foot down on important topics like this.
hell part of the reason i started possums.gay (the instance i'm typing this post from) is because there needs to be more explicitly queer-friendly places for cub stuff, lest we let the """centrists""" and alt-right dictate how our spaces should be handled (cough cough inkbunny)
think i might draw cub art today with one of my sonas holding a trans flag, just because i feel extremely spicy about inkbunny being ran by a blatant transphobe
someone's very first SFM render where the dick is clipping into a character that isn't even modeled with a hole to have the dick inside of, is way more artistic than any of the slop AI garbage that inkbunny allows
the inkbunny situation (tl;dr head of inkbunny is blatantly enabling transphobia because "muh free speech") has reminded me that stellarfur exists
i should post there more often tbqh, it's a cozy place. it's made by @furf , and the place is very queer-friendly! i think a lot of the values that possums.gay has is shared by that place so yeah~
