it will require a bit of fussing with the database, i remember asking specifics in the support chat a lil while ago, so i'll have to dig up that chat to figure out what to do lol
and ofc i'll make sure we get a nice backup going before we do that
oh shoot i'm only now finding out iceshrimp got updated (i can't follow the main dev so i don't know when it gets updated lol)

baraag being down so long shows the importance of multiple fediverse instances existing tbh
the more multiple smaller instances there is, the less disruption there is to posting this stuff
it's especially relevant since there's like, 3 big instances that host all the lolisho/cub art on fedi, misskey, baraag, and aethy
i can't think of that many smaller instances that are still active, besides rodent.life
so, as i've said before, i heavily encourage people to make their own instance! i'm not even the most technically minded, i just happen to be pretty good at handling a terminal and know some basic things about server maintenance. (number 1 rule is to backup constantly and to put them in many different places)
