hell a lot of the devs hate me for really baffling reasons that aren't related to me drawing cub art. ...they come from tumblr and that's all i'll comment on that lmfao.

it's why i didn't go with sharkey myself, if i ever needed help with something, i would be told to kill myself, and i'm probably not exaggerating

@x yeahhhh, aethy had to implement a whole thing by themselves just to make it so media sent out from the server is marked as sensitive to other servers, just because of their nudity policy

would be a nice option to just exist for Every Software, and not just one fork of mastodon lol

@x @kuro like, the difference in self-hosting stoat and matrix is that with stoat, the only people on the server that you get to talk to... are on that server. that's it. nobody else.

with matrix, you get to talk to everyone else who's on any matrix server.

why on god's green flat earth did they not make this decentralized, such a bone-headed move.

@x fwiw i have at least been on matrix for a good while, and i also exist on signal

but the reason why i'm still on discord is not only that everyone is there, but also it just has superior functionality for the servers it offers

and nobody else has managed to replicate that.

...well, stoat might have, but they're centralized and unencrypted, so they suck and don't count lmfao

want to do a group voice chat, but not ring everyone? fuck you, that's not possible anywhere, they either don't give you the option at all, or it will ring everyone.

that's somehow not a solved issue on literally any chat platform alternative, i don't get it!!!!

@AlonWoof can relate, i'm unsure how our system formed, but it most definitely formed from multiple layers of trauma, much like yours.
