something that i personally hope to avoid is to create an environment where people are afraid of me as an admin or owner of this server
lots of other places on fedi make it so people are scared of admins of other instances since they wield so much power and influence they can snuff out other people they don't like
and i want to avoid that as much as possible, the power i hold here is to just keep things afloat, and to ensure that a safe space is made here, not one where i just ban people because i don't like them, or exert my influence over other instances to get rid of people i don't like.
never in a million years would i wish to chase off someone from here, i know from personal experience how fucking awful and soul-crushing it feels, especially as a vulnerable transfemme.
